Our property is a beautifully restored and expanded farmhouse located on scenic Route 6 in northwestern Pennsylvania. The 4-bedroom, 4 1/2 bath farmhouse is located on a working horse farm that covers more than 100 acres. We also have a charming adjoining cabin and chalet, if needed, at additional cost. We have a sledding hill, a 1.5 mile finished trail great for cross country runs and also a small lake on the property too, perfect for swimming and canoeing. We rebuilt the Galloping Inn as a labor of love, with the vision of creating an ideal destination for social getaways, unique recreation and enjoyment of the environment. It’s really very special. The farmhouse dates back to the mid 1850's and is one of the oldest structures in the area. When we restored it, we did so with an eye for preservation, style and modern comfort. The kitchen is awesome. Newly remodeled with all new appliances and features a large granite table that seats ten. People have come here for many years to escape their everyday routine and to have a stress free experience. It’s a freestanding destination, meaning you can do just about anything you want. The location is very private and there is lots of space so if you share the place with other friends or families, you’ll have plenty of room to yourself. You can play some music, go for a hike, explore the nearby foothills, streams and lakes, cook a big meal, ride horses, whatever makes you happy. The thing everyone seems to appreciate most is the fresh air, freedom and comfortable warmth highlighted by our selection of top quality bedding. We built a bar in the great room which is adjacent to the kitchen. There is an entertainment room upstairs which is a perfect place for the kids to watch movies (someone was really thinking there). There are two large decks off the back of the house where you can take in the evening sun. And the back lawn is large enough for your choice of outdoor games. If you feel like doing some exploring, there are lots of things to do nearby. Within a 30 minute drive you can rent boats and cruise the waters of the Allegheny Reservoir, visit the charm of Chautauqua, or enjoy golfing the undulated hills of many great courses including Peek ‘n Peak. For additional space, you can also rent the cabin, located across the driveway from the farmhouse. It sleeps four people and has a king bed, pullout couch, full bath and kitchenette. It also has a covered porch and overlooks the barn and stables. That rents for $295 for the weekend, $140 each additional night. The Chalet, up the driveway about 1/8 mile from the farmhouse, overlooks the pond and is very comfortable and spacious. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, open concept kitchen and great room. *No running water* This is a hunting/fishing camp located in the heart of the Allegheny National Forest. For the avid fisherman, East Hickory Creek is a short drive (about 2 minutes) and access to the Hickory Creek Wilderness Area is a short drive away as well (about 5-6 minutes). East Hickory Creek provides trout fishing for native trout (brook trout) and stocked trout (brown, rainbow, and brook species). Additional fishing opportunities for a variety of fish species are available on the Allegheny River (10-12 minutes drive) as well as Tionesta Lake (15-20 min. drive) and Kinzua Lake (30 min. drive). For the avid hunter, there is plenty of hunting opportunities to hunt black bear, whitetail deer, turkeys, and various small game. The location is near plenty of public land so posted property is no concern. Hunting on the Allegheny National Forest is walking distance and access to the Hickory Creek Wilderness Area is a short drive, as noted above. Hikers and other outdoor enthusiast may enjoy local hiking trails. The Hickory Creek Wilderness Area offers multiple hiking trials for that range from a short jaunt through the forest to an all-day excursion. There are also opportunities for those who enjoy kayaking/canoeing on Tionesta Creek and the Allegheny River. For those who don't own their own canoe or kayak, multiple rental companies are a short drive away. This cottage/camp is semi-rustic. There is no running water, however there is a naturally occurring spring about a 2 min. drive away where water for washing/rinsing and other general purposes can be accessed. There is electric throughout. There is an outhouse on-site. Heat is available via an installed propane heater for colder nights in the fall months. This camp/cottage has a small bunk room with a single bed and a bunk bed. The master bedroom has a bed sizable for two and a single cot. The camp/cottage also has a small kitchen and living room area. Again, this is a rustic camp, so if roughing it a bit is not for you, this rental may not be for you. Otherwise, enjoy.

On the property is a gorgeous orchard including two pear trees, several apple trees, blueberry bushes, and seven sisters climbing roses. Cpl Jason Dunham was from Scio, New York (approximately 20 minute drive from the residence). He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for actions while serving with 3rd Battalion 7th Marines during the Iraq War. While on a patrol in Husaybah, his unit was attacked and he deliberately covered an enemy grenade with his helmet and then himself to save nearby Marines. When it exploded Dunham was gravely injured and died eight days later. One will see in the Master bedroom a signed (by Deb and Dan Dunham [ his parents]) picture of Jason Dunham with the Navy ship (USS Jason Dunham) that was named after him along with the four men that he saved. To learn more about Jason L. Dunham please see the following link. The second room is dedicated to Suzy Jones Pire who was the first person to make meals for the wounded warriors at L.E.E.K. Mountain Preserve located in Oswayo, Pennsylvania. The Jason L. Dunham warrior barracks was Suzy's Grandfather's garage. Suzy fought a long battle with cancer and it took her life at the young age of 43. There is a scholarship fund set up in Suzy's name at Oswayo Valley High School and a yearly run will take place and all of the proceeds will be given to this scholarship fund. The run will start at this residence. The third room is dedicated to D. Frances Ripley who was born in 1920. Francie was commissioned by the State of New York due to her special ability and talent for sewing to recreate Martha Washington's original Purple Heart as it was disintegrating under the glass. Francie with her extraordinary ability was able to recreate the Purple Heart with the same material used by Martha Washington. One can see this Purple Heart at Peebles Island which is the headquarters which are in charge of the all the historic sites in the US. Francie has done many reproduction sewing for the Historical Society. Francie was a volunteer for more than 15 years and did work for Mills Mansion (the governor), redid the ceremonial office drapes (gold embroidery) which were 6 windows with velvet drapes. Francie was a 30 year member of the Embroiderers Guild which consisted of 26 girls and 13 that stitched and she was one that was chosen. Francie was blessed enough to have been able to travel after she retired from the VA Laboratory as a Urologist. Francie traveled to China twice, Hawaii, Alaska, Panama Canal, The Horn at bottom of south America, within 500 miles of north pole, Iceland, France, England, Italy, Ireland, Scotland, Egypt, Jerusalem, has been to the tomb of Jesus Christ, and Nazareth. A General in China needed fighters to fight a war he was trying to unite China and he constructed all the fighters from Turkey and won the war and the fighters stayed on in Arunchi, and was able to have been lucky enough to witness this amazing feat. There is a fully functional kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, and sink with a small breakfast nook. Washer and Dryer are also available in the full bathroom upstairs. Home is fully furnished with seasonal decorations, furniture, dishes, utensils, toiletries, and cleaning supplies. Hunters are welcome!

Beautiful retreat lodge in the Cook Forest state Park near the Allegheny National Forest. This property has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, an in-ground pool, outdoor kitchen and a plethora of outdoor seating. This home has a master bedroom, two room's with queen beds, and a room with two bunk beds. This location is ideal for family retreats, wedding parties and corporate events. This location can sleep 10 people, but can accommodate standing room / event space for up to 200 people.

Our cabin is located near the small settlement of Neilltown (actually a crossroads with 6 homes and a church) 9 miles from Tionesta & Titusville and within the western part of the PA Wilds, adjacent to the Allegheny National Forest and Wilderness Area. You can come here to relax, find peace and quiet, and refresh your spirit in the solitude of the Big Woods. Or, you can find more activities than you can possibly do in one visit. Forest County is PA’s least populated county where camps outnumber residences. The cabin, Procrastination Station, can sleep 6 to 8 people. It has 2 bedrooms; a queen size bed in one, a queen size bunk bed in the other, a full bath with shower, and a fully equipped kitchen. The living room has a sofa with a double pull out bed. It has a flat screen TV with DVD player and a DVD Library for young and old alike, games and books. There is a modern wood stove, propane heater, and outside features are a rear deck, a graveled 16ft x 24ft picnic pavilion with picnic table, lawn chairs, gas grille, fire ring and dry firewood. All you have to do is bring your own food or choose restaurants in nearby Pleasantville and Titusville. We have 600 private acres for hiking, biking and enjoying the bear, deer, turkey’s, bobcats, small wildlife, birds, trout and bass fishing at its finest. Hunting can be arranged in season. In nearby Tionesta, Eagles nest along the Allegheny River and soar over the Wilds. You will be close to Cooks Forest State Park with its virgin timber, Tionesta Dam for swimming and boating, tubing, kayaking and canoeing on the Allegheny River, Drakes Well in Titusville - the Birth Place of the Oil Industry, Cornplanter and Oil Creek State Parks, Kinzua Dam & Recreation Area and several huge State Game Lands. We are also adjacent to the Great Lakes Region. Within a 1 ½ hour trip you can be to Lake Erie, Presque Isle, Waldameer Amusement Park, Presque Isle Downs Casino and Racetrack, Wine Country Tours, ski resorts, and more.

Welcome to a little piece of paradise located on the Clarion River just outside the Cook Forest State Park. Come and immerse yourself in the perfect mix of nature, recreation and relaxation. Newly renovated 3 BR 2 Bath home. Tiled flooring throughout living spaces, carpeted bedrooms and gorgeous wood ceilings. There are 2 screened in porches, a second story observation deck with the perfect river view, a private backyard patio space and a staircase to the river off of the riverfront firepit area created by the retaining wall. The large screened in porch in the front of the house has a table seating 10 and the back patio seats 6. Inside, the dining area seats 9 and provides open areas into the kitchen/cooking space. The kitchen is equipped with things needed to prepare a "holiday meal". There are 3 HD smart TVs with streaming and Youtube TV, 3 DVD players as well as games and poker supplies. Summer rentals are 5 or 6 nights to allow for proper cleaning between guests. Check in is on Friday. Guests can enjoy an afternoon of fun and relaxing and later watch the sunset from the observation deck or riverside in front of the fire. Welcome to the Hemlock Haus Cabins. We have two cabin suites tucked inside the beautiful Cook Forest on our little homestead. Great access to the State Park trails, and all the park offers for your outdoor adventure. After you finish your day of adventure in the park, wind down around the fire ring and enjoy the beauty of Cook Forest at night. Want to spend your time on the Clarion River? Within walking distance are two local businesses to rent canoes, kayaks, and tubes. You can walk to the local Cafe for lunch or the convenience store for those last minute things you forgot to pack. Love to Bike, we have several beautiful bike trails you won't want to miss. You will have to "disconnect from it all" as the forest has very limited (almost nonexistent) cell signal but you will leave better connected to your friends and family. We are here to help you plan your trip if you have any questions, we are here to serve you. HOUSE RULES: The following is a list of house rules for your stay : You must supervise your children at all times. Screens on windows will not prevent falls and cabin is not child proofed in any way. You are renting at your own risk. No smoking indoors or on balcony. You may smoke outside in forest areas, fire rings, or covered spot for smoking (if the weather is inclement). Smoking indoors will forfeit your deposit and cause immediate termination of your stay with no refund. Owner is allergic to cigarette smoke. Do not remove bath towels from cabin. Please bring towels for water activities, if you forget yours you can request towels from us. Our chickens free range on the property. Please do not chase chicken flock. Ask about mini learning lesson for the kids. Fires must be put out before going to bed or leaving property. Please do not bring firewood from outside the area (State Park Rule), we will provide you with firewood during your stay. Quiet time is from 11pm-7am, please be respectful of other campers, no loud music. For your comfort, we treat the well water. Water is treated between 2 am and 6am. Please don't use water or flush during those times. All dishes must be washed and put away, grill cleaned, and all food and trash disposed of before you check out. Please secure trash cans so wildlife will not get into them. We have a septic system. You can not flush ANYTHING other than toilet paper. No condoms, qtips, flushable wipes, tampons, gum, etc must be thrown in trash can. It is our pleasure to host you and we hope you will make memories that last a lifetime here.

Our cabin is privately nestled among the hemlocks with a spacious yard and amazing outdoor fire pit. The cabin is two stories with a well stocked eat in kitchen, living room, private bedroom, and full bath on the first floor. The second floor has a queen bed and two full size beds as well as a couch and seating area with flat screen TV and DVD player to get away. Cabin sleeps a maximum of 8.

Welcome to Bull Hollow Lodge. Newly acquired in the fall of 2019, this is the 4th Lodge in the Barr Top Rentals fleet. This is one of the best areas in the PA Elk range to see lots of quality bulls on a regular basis. We also own Spring View lodge 1/2 mile up the road and this is the 3rd year in a row that the bulls arrive in October and stay until the following summer. This Lodge is named for what we saw when we first went to look at this property, a yard full of Bull Elk. It hasn't disappointed us since. We never make guarantees when it comes to seeing wildlife but this location has been a gem for seeing elk without having to leave the living room. This Lodge is quiet and secluded and boasts all the amenities of home. Located on Spring Run Road in Elk County, visitors will have easy access to the Benezette Visitors Center, local wineries and much more. This Lodge is accessible year round and just 20 minutes from Benezette and also just 20 minutes from Saint Mary's. Regardless of your reason for visiting us, you'll be happy you stayed at Bull Hollow. Cozy up to a fire in the fireplace during the cool seasons or start one in the outside fire pit during the warm ones (Firewood is available onsite).
